The Lounge
Horseshoe Cottage is the largest of all three cottages at Lime Kiln Farm. The cottage is all on one level and suitable for wheelchair users. There is a wheelchair accessible ramp up to the front entrance. It has a beautiful open plan living area with a wood burning stove and a 300 year old brick hearth. In keeping with the traditional farmhouse feel of the properties it also has exposed brickwork around the windows and door frames, as well as original oak beams. Terracotta tiles of been used throughout the living area and porch, which has a oak stable door opening and a half glass door into the kitchen.
The Kitchen
The large open kitchen extends from the lounge, and the terracotta tiled floor continues throughout. There is a microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washer/ drier and an electric oven, as well as a large dining table allowing you to enjoy meals with family or friends.
The Bedrooms
Both bedrooms in Horseshoe Cottage are very spacious and have been fitted with super king size beds, which can be exchanged for two twins if required. Further single beds can also be added if needed. Both feature real oak floorboards and oak beams which mark the character of the property, and yet the decor has a contemporary feel to it. There are colour TVs with DVD players, radio alarms, wardrobes and dressing tables in both bedrooms. The second bedroom is west facing and has a full length glass door out to the car park, with a second wheelchair accessible ramp. The first ensuite bathroom has a corner bath and a separate corner shower with opening glass doors, plus a hand basin and toilet. There is a heated towel rail for added comfort and a west facing window. The second ensuite is a wet room with a shower complete with fitted pull down seat on the wall for disabled guests. The toilet has a pull down support for the less able person and hand basin with large mirror above. Both bathrooms have non slip floor tiles, wall mounted fan heaters and extractor fans.
Additional Info
Horseshoe Cottage is South facing across the panoramic views and has a separate private terrace with wheelchair access and a large private lawn. There is a telephone available which is charged at normal rates, as well as free WIFI access. Lime Kiln Farm is pet friendly. Dogs are welcome to join you, but please do call ahead for details.
